Got this custom rods in a package deal but I've never seen a rod like this with the eyelets positioned where they are its a one pice rod

  1. Some rods are built with a twisted guide setup for casting reels. It’s intentional so that when the rod is bent over with a heavy fish on it, the line never touches the rod itself.

    Edit: it’s actually called “spiral guides” or “acid wrap”… forgot what name they normally use

  2. Spiral wrapped casting rod I have one they are nice less torque on wrists when fighting a fish and less side to side reel rocking while reeling in
