I originally had fluorocarbon line on this reel and wanted to try out braid. The fluorocarbon was even throughout, but this is bulging at the bottom. What would cause this and do I need to respool the whole thing? If so, can I reuse the line?

Yes, that ideally needs to be redone for two reasons. First, with there being much more line at the bottom than the top, you need to remove the spool and remove (at least) one washer from the shaft so that the line lay is more even (it doesn’t need to be 100% perfect, but you ideally want it relatively even). Second, that is not nearly enough line on the spool and this will reduce casting distance because it increases friction. If you do not have enough braid to fill the spool to about 1/8 inch away from the outer spool lip, you can use inexpensive monofilament backing.
You can reuse the existing line.
Yes I think you need to remove the spool and take off a washer or two as the spool is sitting to high so that’s why it’s stacking at the bottom more.
Yes you can reuse the same line no need to waste it.
