$5 from Ollies. Are these worth a shot? Intended use as a braid to fluoro leader. Mostly for saltwater inshore fishing. The pier I usually go has plenty of rocks at the bottom and pilings all around with sharp oyster shells where fish usually tend to run towards to cover like snappers or winter sheepshead and sometimes snooks. Also can these be used as high low rig on surf? I have been using mono as leader.

For $5, I’d give it a shot.
(Also reddit tends to hate on Googan, just fair warning. I just recently gotten really into fishing, so I haven’t much experience with them yet.)
They get a lot of hate, and perhaps it’s deserved. Bottom line, the price should reflect the customer sentiment for the product. At $5, do it. But the shine of social media-branding is not long for the fishing world. Ie nobody gives a shit.
If they also have some dirt cheap Googan lure you can risk – sure, give it a try.
