Goretex trail runners. Comfy and waterproof, plus plenty of tread. Mine are Brooks Divide 5’s and I love them.

  2. I have a pair of hiking boots that are waterproof up past the ankle (Keens I got on sale at REI). I don’t do much wading but they work great for where I am in NY state, and I can walk through shallow water or step in as needed.

Get you some cheap rubber boots, they’ll keep your feet dry and you can just wash them off with dishwasher or car wash or whatever

Waterproof hunting / hiking boots most days. Tuck pants into them. Helps with ticks and mud. Can’t remember the brand off the top of my head but they are laced and water proof to 7 inches which lets me stand in muck and at the waters edge comfortable.

Knee highs and waders if I’m going in.

I have a pair of unisulated, waterproof Rocky hunting boots that live in the car with my river/creek bank walking/pond hopping stuff

  6. Converse All Star high tops.Great for anything and you can throw them in the washer when you get home 👍

Im in cotton mouth and copperjead country with the occasional rattler so I wear danner snake boots

  8. amazon sells these pretty solid water shoes for i think like $20-30 and theyre comfortable enough to walk a few miles in and just be able to go in and out of the water seamlessly. then i just hose them off when i get home and let em dry outside. i just buy a new pair each spring. especially helpful as a type 1 diabetic cuz i cant be getting cuts on my feet from going barefoot.

  9. Totally depends on where and when. In the summer, maybe my hiking boots, maybe my Bedrock and Chaco sandals. The sandals are great for getting into the water if it’s warm enough.

Cooler weather, I have calf length rubber/neoprene boots I like to use. They keep my feet warm and they’re waterproof. Even if you get water in them your body heat will warm it up quickly, ask me how I know. Also, don’t let your boots fill with water.

    Lots of options really.

  10. Get some Xtra Tuff boots. Ankle high because it’s too damn hot in FL for anything else. I’ve had mine for 8 years and they’re holding up fine.
