I’ve been enjoying using spinner baits and I saw this shad plastic and thought it’d go well with it this. Going to be using it to fish a spot with clear water.

Good combo? Or nah.

  1. Odd to see the hook coming out of the stomach of a swimbait, and the hook is slightly small for that bait size IMO. But then again, I’m sure it’ll work just fine.

  2. This b8 is gr8 but you’re a silly goose for doing the plastic upside down. I could see you missing hooksets because of it. Less hook is exposed that way

remember with spinnerbaits that when they move the blades are above the hook, so trailers should be put on accordingly.

You will get bites without changing anything but I would flip the swimbait right side up and try to have more hook exposed.

  5. I’ve heard about reversing the paddletail on the ol chatters so have @ it. A paddletail will keep you in the higher end of the water column where as straight tail baits like a spunk shad will keep you a little deeper.

  6. I think you should downsize that trailer a bit. There’s not much hook sticking out of that body. If you cut some off the front of trailer to shorten it, you’ll have more hook exposed because the trailer is thinner towards the tail.
