Recommend me a floating line as the Rio Avid Gold sucks!

I’ve had two batches of Rio Avid Gold floating line (WF7), and each one coils like a mofo.

This is straight out of the rod – obviously I haven’t pulled the slack yet, but it shows just how bad the memory is. Even after a full day’s fishing, it still doesn’t straighten anywhere near where I’d expect.

I’ve got other Rio lines, like their Elite Hover, which is a dream to fish with – straight and perfect. Even the Max Cast floating equivalent has less memory and sits way better on the surface.

Can anyone recommend a really decent floating line? My preference is for a short head, since I cast better with it (<35m).
