Hey all,
I was fishing this morning for smallmouth/panfish with a popper and the head came off. I decided to just throw the tail end/hook out there and ended up getting more smallmouth than I've ever gotten in a day lol.
Everything was nailing this. Anyone know of a fly or pattern similar to this shape/size i can buy?

You can do a cone head bugger with that color combo, a Mickey Finn with that color combo will be killer too.
It’s tough to tell cus it’s wet but that looks like deer hair. Simple bucktail patterns have done super well for me. That is like a mini deceiver fly pattern. They work so well because buck tails hollow. So it suspends in the water like a dying baitfish.
