The bass fishing was really slow so I decided to target some bluegigis with my ultralight with 4lb test, a 1/32 oz jighead, and a 1.5 in minnow bait, and after a couple nice size bluegigis I got this one 😭
Weighed in at 5.94lbs which beats my previous best ultralight bass by about half a pound. Not the best angle since I was by myself in a canoe so I just propped my phone on my backpack.

I bet that was a fun fight bringing it in!
Nice job! I’ve caught fish on small hooks and lost them because the hook was a little too small for the fish
