Can anyone recommend an affordable Euro Fly reel for someone getting into Nymphing? I’m stuck on what to use, I know I need a large arbour and 3/4 for the rod I’m looking to get… but I’m trying to avoid spending $400 on a reel as a beginner

Do you have a fly reel already, you don’t need a special reel for nymphying at least I don’t see why you would.
Lamson makes quality reels at a good price if you’re really itching to buy one
Well, an Orvis Hydros Euro is $279 brand new. A lamson liquid S HD is $169. You don’t have to go fancy on these things. Basically any full cage reel will do you fine. I’d encourage you to look at marketplace or ebay for deals that occasionally will pop up.

I use a 5/6 sized reel on my 10’ 4wt
Greys Fin fly reel is really nice package for the price it has a closed cage, not sure if its available where you are though. No need to spend 2x the money for a reel on a euro setup they are pretty redundant most of the time.
You don’t need a special reel for euro nymphing, literally anything will work.
