I have the opportunity to buy this reel not sure if it’s wha I want. The google search says it can handle drum and bigger fish inshore I’m looking to pair it with a 12 ft Penn battalion is hat enough reel?

Looks like a trolling or bottom rod, not a surf caster. Look into Penn squalls or fathoms, personally I think the first gen fathom 15 is the best drum reel out
