Just off the river bank at the park in my new Zealand West Coast town. The river is in flood at the moment so the water was murky and muddy, but this little fella liked the lure I was spinning (evidently too slowly to beckon this bottomfeeder) and decided to latch on 10m from shore. Im not the biggest fan of flounder for eating so this was a release. I also had a line out with bait and sinker but it was consistently being relocated by the current and i couldent determine strikes from debris. I should have used a heavier sinker or maybe wait for calmer waters. I'm going out on my kayak tomorrow so we will see what I can get a bit further out. Would love to hear about your adventures.
