Curious for opinions and insight. I have a Perception showdown pedal drive kayak. I’m getting ready to register it and add a trolling motor. I’m not sure whether I should stern mount or bow mount the motor. It will just be a simple transom mount, nothing crazy, as I’m trying to do this fairly cheaply for now. If I stern mount it, I can use the current steering setup for the rudder, I just have to figure out how to comfortably lift it out of the water. If I bow mount it I could lock it straight and use the factory rudder to steer. Just wondering if anyone has insight thoughts or insight. Thanks!
