First Carp on the fly

I went to my usual spot where I always see these guys cruising around but they never hit anything. Left my 8wt in the car and brought my 9ft 5wt that I use for small/medium trout and smallmouth. Saw this guy and thought what the hell I’ll give him a cast. Wooly bugger landed perfectly in front of him and he took it and started ripping drag. My first thought was “What the hell am I supposed to do now?” After a 20-30 min fight I finally got him in the net. What a ride!
