The spool is loose and goes side to side and when I cast it makes a lot of noise when it’s bouncing side to side, making my cast distance very short. Does anyone have a solution to this?

The knob behind the crank is your spool tension knob. Tighten it and it will press on the end of the spool shaft.
Tighten it to just where the play goes away.

The spool tension knob on the side. Tighten it until you lose that movement on the spool, and you’re good.

Aa everyone say, you want to tighten the knot just barely enough so the spool stop moving or very slightly move. If you tighten too much then you gonna lose free spool

May I suggest you tighten the knob on the left side of the reel?

Did you try turning it off and turning it back on again?

There should be a small shim or two that acts as a “wear plate” that the end of the axle on the spool rotates on inside the spill tension knob, I’ll bet that’s missing.
