Bird nests every time. It might be my shitty Bass Pro Shop ugly stick combo. But it’s more probably user error

I’ve got a few baitcasters.
It took awhile to get good at using them…I still get birds nest, just less often and I have the patience to unfuck the nest now.
My 1st is still my fav..budget kastking Royale Legend. I rarely use my Abu Garcias.
ETA:
I use braided line which i think makes it easier to “master” vs using fluro or mono.

I own several baitcasters but only one spinning rod, a Kistler KLX medium-light with a Shimano Vanford 2500. I never got another one because that setup sort’ve does everything I want a spinning rod to do. Maybe a lighter one with a 1500 for X-Nanahan size jerkbaits? I dunno.
