Hey everyone!
Iāve been searching for Orangespotted Sunfish in central Indiana and havenāt had any luck. Iāve gone to turbid creeks, river backwaters, ponds, and lake margins (all in the White River watershed). Vegetated, murkyā¦ no luck outside of juveniles of other Lepomis.
Iād really appreciate if anyone could share tips on finding them from local experience. Any public access sites in the Wabash River or its tributaries in and around Lafayette? Any parks along the White River? It would be amazing to land one of these little beauties before the season is over. Iāll also update this thread with pics!
