309$ out the door for all of this 😭 absolutely love the combo though. Was gonna buy the Lews Mach Crush combo but I was having trouble finding a left retrieve model and they were priced similarly. Did I over pay? The combo was prespooled with 30lb braid and had a frog tied on and they had it as a special sale.

you definitely overpaid dude, lews just came out with their new line of KVD stuff so all the old stuff is discounted.
Looks pretty good to me honestly. Great lure selection and I’ve heard the kvd is a great combo. 30lb braid is also great for bass fishing situations and very versatile. Overall I’d say that $309 isn’t a bad deal but also not a great one. So it all comes down to how you enjoy the hear and if you’re happy. Good luck fishing!
Yeah, Lews is mad overpriced
Not a fan of Cabelas, which is what i have close to me. Everything seems pretty overpriced in comparison but the warranty on rods (full replacement) through them is pretty good for the price.
You can always price match if the same item is going for less somewhere else. And you can always shop around and find a similar item for less. But the thing that matters is you have the gear to get out and catch some fish. I don’t have experience with that exact rod reel combo but everything you got looks like quality gear.
Definitely overpaid but I wouldn’t say you got hosed tho. I would see if you could return it, pay a little less and use the rest on more baits. If they say no who cares you got a sweet new combo to fish. 30-40 bucks doesn’t mean a lot in the long run, better to have fun fishing it than worrying about it
