I was fishing a small freestone river in the mountains the other day and these casings were everywhere all over the rocks at the edge of the water. There were a lot of caddis hatching but I wasn’t aware they hatch like this, if it was them.

Baetis. Looks pretty small I’d guess Tricos or small BWO’s.
