So basically I went to set the hook and the anti-reverse just let go. The handle now spins backwards as well as forwards. I took it apart and re-greased/cleaned everything, as some quick searches on google said sometimes dirt messed up the clutch, but that didn’t do anything. Is this reel done for?

If you clean it and it won’t work or looks messed up. Gotta replace it
Yeah, you need to take out the ant-reverse clutch bearing and make sure it’s clean and dry. No grease! Take note which side is top, it matters. If it’s busted you can look up part number in schematics that Shimano has on their site. The part number will most likely have changed since the diagram was published but it’s all cross-referenced.
