Replacing foot peg- pelican

I bought a pelican fishing kayak at a yard sale ($75) with the left foot peg broke. I’ve found a replacement peg but do not know how to remove the old broken peg or how to install the new peg

I can’t find an installation video. I don’t see screws to unattach the whole rail. ChatGPT implies I can replace the foot peg without removing rail but does not do a good job of explaining the process.

Can someone explain (in simple straightforward terms) how I get the old broken piece out and install the new?
