A bass would probably eat it, but idk if I would use it just because someone who cares about you made it.

My only thought is that it will catch a bass. Maybe others. I once caught a spring bass somewhere in N. Cali on a beetle spinner with no plastic, just spinner and hook. There was also a rod and reel involved.
