I'm planning to wire my kayak to run off M18 batteries for night fishing. No trolling motors just nessesary lights and a charger. Can anyone confirm this would be the best method to wire the kayak? Or provide input.

Buy a 12v battery LiFePo or similar battery and get lots more storage capacity for similar price to a voltage converter and adapter and don’t risk ruining your expensive Milwaukee batteries
In the end you’ll have a better battery system for less money
What you have is way overkill for 12v LED lights and phone chargers

I use this setup for my fish finder. You can get an inline trailer style fuse holder that is waterproof. Just 1 fuse is needed. Make sure all the lights are LED as others are not efficient.
You have an 18-12VDC converter? I used one as the finder was 12V and didn’t want to risk it. Just ensure the voltage input range for the lights are good with 18V.
