Looking at going to this semi remote river, resources say that the fish stack up in deeper pools this time of year. Since most of the access is going to be oil roads and tough hikes I don’t want to do hours of trekking just to be met with shallow and gravely conditions, this spot is only a 1.5 km hike from nearest parking but barely a trail. Will this bend be deep and slow/ fish holding or should I be looking for different river structure.

Looks like the pool is deeper. The color is also deeper, a good sign. This is part of the fun, adventure in checking out new places. Good luck
