For the last 3 years I've been using shorter rods frequently when fishing on smaller waters or at short ranges. To go along with my 10 ft rods I chose these small daiwa reels. After putting them through their paces I have to say that I'm very fond of these. Carp, chub, barbel, bream, pike, roach, trout and even spod and marker work… These reels can do it all as long as it's not long range casting. That's where the line capacity and short spool hold it back. Probably one of the best reels for under 100 quid.
