Please don’t be too harsh but I just purchased my first bait caster and realized after lining and tying on a bait that I probably wasnt supposed go through this loop?

  1. No don’t run like thru that that’s for the hook to hook onto when ur not
Fishing so the line isn’t just dangling !

  2. Son of uh…
Welp glad I realized before I got to the lake. Gives me reason to get better at tying knots

  3. No worries! That’s how you learn. The first time I put line on my new Garcia Mitchell 300 (in 1968) I somehow wound it on backwards. I never made that mistake, again.

  4. Don’t worry! I did the same thing for the first while with my rod (beginner). Finally clued in to change things up because I couldn’t cast consistently. Took the line out of that loop and then had an enjoyable time.
