Hey guys I want to get an light/ultralight fishing rod. Been looking on Amazon but I honestly have no idea what’s good haha. Was thinking someone here could look at my current pick on Amazon and tell me if they think it will be decent. Or if anyone has any recommendations please let me know

If you can get something more expensive, I’d do that. Mitchell used to be good but I’m not sure now anymore and I wouldn’t risk it. St. Croix is a pretty good brand but that’s just from my experience. I trout fish and I caught an 8-9 pound rainbow on a 2-6 pound 7ft St. Croix ultralight, and it handled it really well.
I just picked up a light from Walmart. Initially went in for an okuma celilo, left with a pfluger president. Coming from an ugly stick. The biggest thing I love is the sensitivity. My ugly stick was not sensitive at all. You can really feel the bites.
