Ok so i got the tackle boxes from fb marketplace. But as i was going through it I saw this type of hook. Can anyone explain the purpose for it?

I believe it’s a trailer hook for a frog. The frog hooks go through the 2 holes. It’s to help prevent short strikes on frog lures but you increase the snag chance.

Frog tail hook. It’s a hook that adds onto a hollow body frog hook. The hooks go thru the eyelets to add a third hook. I have a hollow body frog with whopper plopper legs that has this hook attachment.
