These are artificial lures and are indeed a completely different type of fishing, don’t attach them to a float
You could catch something using this method. But you are gonna have dozens of hours of catching nothing. Look up on youtube how to use soft plastics. This is just one of many types
The plastic lures you’ve shown in the second image are not supposed to be used for static float fishing. They are intended to be threaded onto a jighead ([example](https://www.amazon.com/Swimbait-Chartreuse-Jigheads-Freshwater-Saltwater/dp/B0CTBTPPBH)), then cast out and retrieved back to you. The intention is for it to mimic a small bait fish. ([Example video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mqat-txmQKA)).
If you do want to use artificial bait under a float, there are other options. I’ve successfully used Berkley Nightcrawlers ([link](https://www.berkley-fishing.com/collections/gulp/products/gulp-extruded-nightcrawler?_pos=17&_fid=97b1a56db&_ss=c)) (all species) and Powerbait ([link](https://www.berkley-fishing.com/products/powerbait-natural-glitter-trout-bait?_pos=2&_sid=bd9196446&_ss=r&variant=42290998837387)) (Trout only)
I’ve had success in fresh water fishing this from a drop shot rig setup, but I’m in a different country, so I don’t know if it will work for you. Good luck!
You always want to have something moving. If your bait is not moving on its own you have to make it move, so the second one you would use on a spinning rig targeting fish that eat other fish
lure fishing and bait fishing involve very different techniques. those are paddle tail swing baits, you typically use that with a weighted jig head and reel them in to make that tail flap. I recommend looking at tutorials on you tube for lure fishing and look up info on what people in your area find to work. Lure fishing is huge here in the US, especially for predator species like Bass, Pike and such.
You can replace the plain hook on your slip bobber setup with a jighead (1/32-1/16th) hook and jig the plastics. Jig up and down at least a foot or so to make the plastics wiggle. I hook a live grub on with the plastic bait to put some scent in the water. This works well for me in the US jigging for crappie and other panfish.
