Caught on the Big Thompson River near Drake, CO.
I’m having a hard time figuring out what kind of trout these four are. Initially I passed them off as rainbows, but then my fish ID app told me they were cut throats & it’s stumped a few of my fishing buddies.
Between:
– rainbows? (The other rainbows I caught didn’t look like this).
– greenback cutthroat?
– another variation of cutthroat?
– some variation of cutbow?

All rainbows
These are all rainbows.

Could be that these were stockers and the others you caught were wild. Different fish look different but these all have rainbow characteristics. Except the tail is funky on the last one. Still a rainbow though.
