New reel out of the box. Handle will not turn fully when spool is in place, regardless of drag setting. Handle turns fully and reel operates when spool is removed from reel. Why? Thanks!

Under the spool in the front of the reel there should be a lever u can switch it back and forth lift that “switch “ or lever and u will b all good

Is there a switch towards the bottom underneath the handle? If so, flip it. If not, I don’t know what to tell ya.

Thank you. The “anti-reverse switch” does not have any effect on what this reel is/isn’t doing
