so i was scrolling late night and saw this Lixada telescopic kit for stupid cheap and was like… worth a shot for the lols. showed up last week and lowkey this thing is legit for the price.
got 2 rods, 2 reels, a ton of lures and hooks, even a tackle box and bag. everything packs down super small so i can just chuck it in my car trunk. took it out to a local lake and caught some decent sized bass, no joke. the rods are carbon fiber and actually have decent action, reels are smooth enough for beginner stuff.
obviously its no shimano, but for $43? this kit is perfect for beginners, backup gear, or just keeping in the car for spontaneous fishing trips. used code HTS7 and got it for like $36 which felt like stealing lol.
anyone else tried these budget kits? lowkey impressed ngl.

I used one as a kid in the 80’s. It lasted 10 or more years until I broke it. I think it was made of fiberglass.

PSA: this is a great concept but I wouldn’t bother with OP’s “review” of this product. If anybody wants a similar setup, forego the aliexpress bullshit, go get a Zebco 33 telescopic or an Eagle Claw pack-it, upgrade the reel to whatever you want, and put it in a Kastking slingbag with your preferred tackle.
