This is Lockjaw, my boyfriends orchid betta if 4 months. Yesterday evening, I noticed this bump on his head, but assumed it may have been an injury from him throwing himself into things. But this morning, it’s white under the raised scales.
He’s in a 5 gallon, heavily planted and heated tank. He shares it with 2 shrimp and bladder snails. Parameters are standard (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite), and we do water changes as frequently as possible since there’s many snails.
What might be going on with him?
