Don’t worry, the tank (5Gal) has been well cycled for months and has been a shrimp tank. Lately, the mosquito larvae population has had a sharp increase and I wanted a natural control. Went to the hardware store next door for some shelves. Stopped by the pet store and got this cutie for $1. Her name is Cirrus and she has already decimated the mosquitoes and is very plump now. I’m giving her a round of kanaplex for the fin rot she has and some stress guard for her move.
Normally I wouldn’t keep a betta in a 5Gal but she is currently about 1”, if even. So the 5Gal actually is a bit more space for her than another larger betta. Later, I’ll move her to the 20Gal I’m cycling currently for the Plecos I’m getting in a bit.
