Some guy at my little duck pond near my house happened to tell me he has been catching spotted bass from Oroville lake and putting them inside this pond near my house and insisted that this was what I had caught after asking to see the photo I took.
I'm not too sure as I am not familiar with how to identify them and whatnot yet.

I think so. Did it have a rough patch on the tongue? If so it’s a spot.
