Any advice on topping a kayak with the seat on? I usually put mine on top of my car bare. The old town seats are good put the rail is a pain. Honestly my least favorite feature on the kayak. I'd just like to keep it on the kayak as it does not add a lot of weight.
I use cam straps and trucker hitches on my kayak to hold it on the roof. I don't want to put a cam strap over it because it could wiggle the strap loose. I was thinking a dedicated strap or a bungie cord
Any advice?

I’ve done it before. Wouldn’t recommend. At highway speeds it can get pretty beat up in the wind. Can you take it off and put in the trunk or back seat?
