I am interested in buying a Shimano Stradic or Vanford through Digitaka or Japan Lure Shop. How I see it, is since both of these reels are made in Malaysia there is a 19% tariff fee (which Digitaka is covering 50%, JLS is not covering any of this tariff cost). Also, there is this "Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 steel and aluminum tariffs." "Then, effective June 4, 2025, the tariff rate on steel and aluminum imports (and derivative products) was raised to 50% for most countries", per whitehouse.gov.
I know I'd be on the hook for 8% of the tariff fee (Digitaka covering 50% of the tariff), but the Stradic is made of a lot of aluminum, and the Vanford has an aluminum handle or shaft. I'd almost assume that FedEx, DHL, UPS are not very closely inspecting the items to determine the amount of aluminum in the reels, and just blanket the products with a 50% extra charge.
Is everyone just holding off on buying from foreign sellers? Should I risk it? There is mixed results online, and not sure how accurate these reports are.

Just got a Metanium from Digitaka a few days ago. Super smooth transaction and unbelievably fast shipping as always. Split the tariff
