Hey!
I’m kind of new to fishing (about a year) and am looking into getting a better rod and reel for catfish. All of mine are pretty light weight, and I feel like I need something a little stronger.
I’ve been looking into getting a bait feeder reel, with a separate drag so they can take the bait and run with it before I set the hook.
Would this rod and reel work well together? Or should I get a combo like a mad katz? I really don’t know much about any of it, definitely still learning. Any advice is welcome!!
Idk what which would be cheaper either. A good combo or a separate rod and reel.
I’m in North Texas and honestly don’t get too many huge cats, but I travel often and want to have something a bit stronger.
