I recently bought some magdraft freestyle swim baits with 8/0 BKK hooks, would you guys use a medium heavy moderate fast action or heavier to set the hook?

i use a bass x med heavy and have no issues with hooksets and it’s very sensitive with a magdraft

There’s medium heavies that go up to 3/4oz and there’s medium heavies that go up to 5oz so you gotta be more specific about ratings. I’d throw a mag draft on a rod rated up to at least 1oz.
