Been fishing for a few decades at this point, all over the world, plenty here in FL. I feel I have a pretty solid grasp on reading the water and catching fish.
But this one spot… I’ve never had so much as a bite. There’s a deep channel, cover on both sides. Plenty of baitfish by the dock, surface activity, boat ramp isn’t very active so minimal disturbances, etc.
I just can’t seem to get a bite anytime I fish here, catch em on the same lake all the time, but probably been here for 15-20 hrs all together by now.
Any of you fine people have any idea what could be going on? I’ve given up on fish here and am now just genuinely curious.

Idk man, looks like frog city to me.
Maybe try a small drop shot bait? I hear great things about the Berkeley Gulp minnows.
My lure that always produces is a small – medium Rapala floater… have you been to this spot at dawn or dusk yet?
And lastly, have you tried live bait? Worms or minnows typically catch more (I know you probably already know that lol).
That’s fishing sometimes. Srsly though try downsizing to something like a crappie jig. Also if it gets pressured by other anglers the bass are gonna be hard to find
