(pic to grab attention)

So I have a trip to Northern New Mexico on the Rio Grande Gorge planned for my birthday in mid-November. I have a lot of the trip logistics such as proper clothing, food, and camping gear ready, but I just haven’t been able to find enough information online to feel completely confident about doing this.

•I am aware direct daylight hours will be short as I would be in a canyon, should this be a bigger concern than I am making it?

•How is fishing like in the area at this time of the year? I am experienced in slower winter fishing, so exactly HOW slow might it be?

•What kind of flies/strategies should I be looking to employ at that time of the year there?

Lastly, if there are any safer bets I could be in the wild and catch fish and likely have a better time, I am all ears! I may be going alone as well so if any locals would like to buddy up with me for a day or two, feel free to hit me up!
