They work fine for live or dead bait. Best for vertical fishing, if you cast them far such that your line is at a shallower angle you are way more likely to get this kind of rig snagged on the bottom. Check your local regulations to see how many hooks are allowed, where I’m at it would be illegal to use this rig with more than 2 hooks.
