First catch in 23ish years

Recently decided to get back into fly fishing after having not been out since (I think) fall of 2002. I fished a ton during college, but once I graduated and got into the corporate world/family/etc I ended up not making time for it. Got on the river in NW NC this morning around 7:30 and it was COLD – around 35 when I got out of the car. I spent a while just remembering how to do things on the river, and landed this one about 30-45 minutes in.

Also, cameras on phones weren’t a thing the last time I was on the river, I need to work on my fish photography.
