My buddy and I caught about 25 in the afternoon surf, mainly small reds, but landed one nice shark. He gave me an incredible fight in the surf. Was a little disappointed when I saw the fin, as I was hoping it was a bull red, but a fun catch all the same. That night we fished in a large saltwater pond that’s interconnected with the creeks. We caught three slot reds — 17, 20, and 22 inches — and my buddy caught a 33 inch red. All fish released healthy. Was a great day.
