I have been borrowing this ultralight rod for a while and have been really enjoying it (although, I think I'd prefer it to be about 6'0'' instead of 5'0''). I mainly use 1/64 and 1/32 jigs heads with soft plastics and the occasional tiny in-line spinner or hard bait for panfish, trout, small bass or whatever else bites!
I'd like to return it before I somehow break it and have to buy a replacement that I don't get to keep! Any thoughts on something I could buy for myself that would be similar? My best guess is that the Bass Pro Shop Micro Lite would be similar. Does that seem accurate? Anything else come to mind? I don't have fancy tastes or a lot of experience to make me too picky. $60 for the Bass Pro rod would be about the upper end of my budget and to further keep the budget in check, I would probably pair whatever I get with a size 500 or 1000 Shimano Sienna reel.

Go with a size 1000 reel. I got a 500 and it’s line capacity is quite small.
