I was targeting smallmouth bass with some crayfish flies tonight, but ended up catching black crappie instead! I tied on a #8 Near Nuff Crayfish with a #6 Come at Me Cray dropper under an indicator. The take was rather subtle and just sort of caused the indicator to slightly bob, but they put up a little bit of a fight once I started stripping them in.
