My first combo. A Redington Wrangler 690-4S + RR Animas 5/6. The Animas is of course not a beginner’s reel, but I got it for the price of one. How much heavier will the reel be with backing and floating line? One ounce heavier?

Really not much difference – the weight of 5 weight fly line + backing is really imperceptible compared to the weight of the reel on its own. It shouldn’t feel much different.
