I grew up with a pair of those; you can play only moderately loud before they start losing clarity and the bass response was kinda flabby, original cone tweeters produced beamy and kinda rolled off treble response.
So nothing special SQ-wise, some folks love the look of the wood veneer models. Overall not much value.
