I can't be the only one seeing this constant stream of posts on various bass and fish id forums asking if "this" is a spotted bass.. I've yet to see an actual spot in any of these posts. Posts by folks clearly at ponds, fauna not matching areas they're common in, from states they don't exist.

Ive been thinking the same damn thing! Most of the time it’s just a largemouth.
It’s laziness. Typing “spotted bass vs largemouth bass” into a search engine is too hard.
