Trying to respool my little cousins reel, putting on my own fluoro and it just flies off the reel every time. I tried soaking it in warm water, which made no difference. I’m pretty new to fishing myself and have never tried to respool fluoro
Is it coming off the spool counter clockwise? That might have some effect since flouro carries some memory

Buy a kast king reel on Amazon instead. (Don’t listen to the haters either I clean and wash mine for saltwater usage the red colored royal legend & Spartacus in the Bay Area idk why others have problems but they probably do with all reels. Kast king Spartacus 2000 reel or 3000 on some 8-10lb mono from reaction tackle or braid that’s like 15-20lb just check measurements do the work to see what line fits best & your good.

Just run braid & tie double uni knot for a leader line of 15lb mono or flouro if ya need it like that.
