I'm excited to get to go kayaking and fishing at the coast of North Carolina today. This is going to be 3 days of (mostly bass) fishing in waters around the Currituck Sound and Outer Banks. My friend lives down there and just got a Nucanoe Unlimited. Today will be her shakedown trip and just the third trip in my Lynx, while today is also a shakedown trip for my motor. I doubt we'll be fishing in any salt water, even though it's close to the ocean. This is mainly a huge, freshwater fishery just inside the Outer Banks, but some of it has slightly brackish water.
